So,  How does it work  ?   

It is consignment where we share the profit if and when your item sells.

When we sell items over $150 you will receive 50% of the selling price.

When we sell items under $150 which we call casuals you will receive 40%

​

What if my item does not sell?     

  ***  After one month we start discounting the item starting with 15% and gradually up to 80% if it still doesn't sell at that point we donate it to a very good cause such as the Bethesda house where all it's proceeds 100% go to women's  shelters     we also have other charities we donate to as well………. With the more expensive items over $300 we keep longer for six months…. After the expiry it is your responsibility to call us to decide whether you want to pick it up finding it in our shop yourself on our racks, or for us to donate it.

What days can I bring in items for consignment?   

     *****        Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays between 11 AM and 6 PM  ******

Important to always call the shop the day you wish to come with drop off as we do have PAUSES at least once a month   905 683 3833

                             

 Why did you donate my item?

   The item during pricing process may have been the wrong season it may have been damaged it may have been a bad smell or stain stains or lastly it may be a cheaper brand name which we don't really have space for

Do you sell Veils?   

          Yes we have a large selection of Veils new and secondhand we keep them in our clearance Bridal section where you would need assistance to see them and we also carry Veils in our two other Bridal locations which you would shop for a while having a Bridal appointment

How do we shop for Bridal dresses?            

There are three different Bridal locations and where you would shop according to your budget.  For a budget under $300 you do not need an appointment and we would show you our clearance section in the back so you would let us know and we would assist you.           Our second location is for a budget between $300 and $700 it is across the street two minute walk where we would take you to the house where we have Bridal set up with over 200 dresses.     Our third location for a budget over $800 you would set up an appointment with us and you would go to our other location about seven minutes away from the shop for a one hour appointment

How do I check on my account? 

You may check on your account by telephone giving us simply your phone number name or your account number you may also check your account while at the shop we can look it up for you at the front desk

Do you have a Seamstress?       We have contact for seamstresses suitable to your situation whereas we do not take commission for using them we just simply pass you her business card and you will deal with her directly.

Do you do returns or exchanges?     

No we do not Because we are consignment once an item is sold through our consignment program the money is directed to the consigner which is complicated to undo therefore it is final sale

How do you price your items?                 We price our items at 1/2 of retail generally yet sometimes we price them even less if they are quite expensive to begin with we price them lower by there were no issues CDC reported them publicly working out a fair price with the person selling it

How long does it take to price our item to sell it on the floor?      

For the last three years our business has been growing so our usual few days has now expanded to up to two weeks to have your item priced and put out on the floor

​

What does it mean when you are on a pause for your donates?      

We need to pause at least once a month for five business days as we receive very much each week and need to make space for the new as our shop has limited space

Do you sell men's items?  

No we don't take in men's clothing but we do have men shop for some of our running shoes wallets jewellery such as rings

​

How do you find items on sale?  

For the most part we do have colour code marker marks on our price tags pink marker means 15% off green marker means 30% off a blue marker means 50% off and a red marker means 80% off. We also have flash sales here and there where season clearance sales occur

Do you also take knock off items?               

Yes we do and we definitely mark on our description on the price tag that they are inspired by and not authentic

If I have an expensive designer item how does that work?     

Yes you would need to let us know when you were dropping off your items that there is a designer item and we would want to authenticate it if you have proof of purchase or proof of authenticity then we would discuss a fair price to price it at and you would get 50 to 60% of the selling price when it sells. We do keep designer items longer and we keep them near where we work with security tags and other ways to a few minutes away from prevent shoplifting of course

How long have you been in business?   

Play it again Val has been in business for almost 36 years we are third owner we have been running it for over 18 years as mother and daughter team

Do you hold items? 

Yes we generally will hold an item for 24 hours sometimes depending on the circumstance we would keep it a little longer

​

Do you do layaways?

Yes we do layaways on average two weeks up to two months maximum we would want 25% down payment receipt for you confirming when you would be coming to do your next payment or to finish payments.  We do not do returns with these if you do not show up for your item and finish paying your deposit would be forfeited to play it again Val 

​

Do we have to use our payout toward purchases at your shop?

No you may of course take cash or an e-transfer and we welcome you to you payout toward a purchase
