    Consignment allows you to recycle quality items, earn cash, or donate unsold items

    to meaningful charities.

 

    Items We Accept: Current, in-season, excellent-condition items including: bridal gowns & accessories

    formal/prom/grad dresses, casual clothing, quality shoes, coats, boots, jackets, suits, belts,

   handbags  &  jewelry. 

    Some TRENDING ONLY Vintage styles 

         

    Seasonal Intake guide :   Spring: Jan–Mar | Summer: Apr–Jul | Fall: Aug–Oct | Winter: Oct–Jan
    Drop-Off Hours: Tue–Thu, 11AM–6PM   Capacity pauses may occur—please call or check social media!

    Pricing & Selling Period:    Items priced at 30–80% of retail per staff discretion.
    • Casual: In-store for current season or up to 2 months.
    • Formal/Bridal/designer priced at $150.00 and up: 6 months or longer if still sellable.
    Items not meeting guidelines may be donated. Unsold items donated to

    partnered charities (e.g., Bethesda House). 

    Discount Schedule:   Discounts begin halfway through display time:  

    • Casual: From 1 month (varies by brand).                                       

    • Formal/Bridal: From 3 months.
    Typical price reductions: 15% → 30% → 50% → up to 80% before donation.   

    Returning Items Before Expiry: If you want items returned:
    • Track your own expiry dates and check 1 week prior.
    • Locate your item in store and bring to front desk.
    • Higher-value items ($200 and above) & wedding gowns: we will contact you.

    Commission & Early-Reclaim Fees:  Casual Items 

    (under $150, not bridal/formal): • Commission: 40% of final sale price
    Early reclaim (before 2 months): $5/each

    Bridal, Evening Wear, or $150+ Items   • Commission: 50%
    • Early reclaim (before 6 months): $10–$50/item

    Account Management & Payouts:  Consignors must check their own accounts by phone or in-person.
    Payouts: cash | e-transfer ($3.50 fee) | apply toward purchase.
    Dormant/unclaimed payouts are forfeited after 1 year unless previously requested.

    PIAV Liability:   FOR CASUALS — ITEMS CAN BE DONATED AFTER EXPIRY DATE

    WHICH IS ONE SEASON (APPROX 2 MONTHS)

     —  FOR GOWNS BRIDAL  6 MONTHS   UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE AGREED AND OR  NOTED.

      (NOTE WE DO KEEP SOME ITEMS LONGER  WITH POTENTIAL  TO STILL SELL

      OR WE PUT IN OUR  STORAGE  UNTIL THE NEXT YEARS SAME SEASON 

     USING OUR DISCRETION AND EXPERIENCE )

     — In unusual cases  for the odd circumstance picking up unsold items you don’t wish to donate

     IT IS YOUR  RESPONSIBILITY TO MARK THE DATE IN YOUR CALANDAR  Please read our website page

    Thankyou for placing your Bridal Dress and or accessories on Consignment at Val’s

    Consigning and thrifting is the way of the present and future 

    Our 35th year in business allows us to maintain our reputation of carrying dresses that 

    are modern and clean.    So we will accept dresses only by our best standards. 

     

    Upon arrival    We will check if  the dress  is a current style and if it needs cleaning

    We do offer cleaning for most dresses at a very reasonable rate (not silk) - 

     We ask you the retail price and date you purchased

 

    We price the gowns at  half or less than the present retail price 

    Your Commission: 50%  of the selling price when it sells  PIAV  will call you if the dress sells 

    (unless other arrangement agreed by you and PIAV )

    We do discount the amount agreed above if its necessary

 

    IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CALL TO CHECK ON DRESS AT THE 6 months

   See your expiry date above 

    If the dress does not sell by 6 month expiry date

    There are 2 options

1. PIAV will then make arrangement for you to pick up the dress if the dress has not sold

           Once confirmed  PIAV  staff will get it ready and call you to pick up your dress 

           Once you are notified We will keep it for you to pick up for 2 weeks, after 2 weeks it will be donated

      2.  The option for us keep dress longer after expiry date to and try to

           sell it on clearance at 30 to 60% off

 

    Bridal Dress Early reclaim (before 6 months)   $50 per dress or other bridal item valued over $400

    Account Management & Payouts:  Consignors may check their own accounts by phone or in-person.
    Payout to you : cash OR  e-transfer ($3.00 fee if you have auto deposit) 

    Dormant/unclaimed payouts are forfeited after 1 year unless previously requested and noted

    PIAV Liability:  We will donate dresses that have been contacted

    to pick up and  have not replied after 2 weeks 

    You have been contacted ( which is why it's important to remember you expiry date

    it is your responsibility)  

     UNLESS OTHER  REASONABLE ARRANGEMENTS ARE AGREED AND NOTED.
